Who is a Hydrofacial suitable for?
Hydrofacials are suitable for many skin types, including normal, oily, combination and some sensitive skins. They are particularly good for congestion, blackheads, enlarged pores, dullness and mild texture concerns.
Is there any downtime after a Hydrofacial?
Downtime is minimal. You may notice a little pinkness or warmth just after the treatment, but this usually settles within a few hours. Most people feel comfortable going straight back to work or social plans with no issue.
How often should I have a Hydrofacial?
This depends on your skin and goals. Many clients enjoy Hydrofacials as a regular maintenance treatment every 4–6 weeks to keep their skin clear and glowing. If we are working on specific concerns such as congestion or texture, we may start with a slightly closer schedule before moving to maintenance.
Can Hydrofacials be combined with other treatments?
Yes. Hydrofacials often work very well alongside my other specialist skincare treatments and peels, and can be used between more intensive procedures to maintain results. I will always make sure that any combination of treatments is safe and sensibly spaced for your skin.
Do I need to stop my usual skincare before a Hydrofacial?
In some cases, I may recommend pausing strong actives such as retinoids or acids for a few days before and after your treatment, especially if your skin is sensitive. We will go through your routine together and I will give you clear, simple advice tailored to what you are using.
